Blue Eye
Out of the 18 springs providing water for Bistrica River this is the most important. It was given this name by the constructors of the hydropower station about 40 years ago. All the springs come out at the bottom of Mali i Gjere near the villages of Muzina, Peca and Krongji in an area of 500 square metres and 177 metres above sea level.Syri i Kalter" is the most interesting spring not only because it has a rate of flow 6 cubic metres of water per second, a water temperature of

13 degrees Celsius and an oxygen content of 9 mgr./ litre, but also t'or the pretty oval shape like an eye with the water coming out of the earth deep blue in the centre and light blue at the sides. It is very deep and men have managed to go only 45 metres deep. It is of carstic-tectonic origin and the waters are believed to be a filtration from Drinos valley.

The water from all these springs flows into the reservoir created after the construction of the dam for the hydropower station. This reservoir covers an area of 9ha and has a depth of 13 metres, where the wild trout grows, but also the tame trout (salmon irideus) and other decorative fish are cultivated. An area of 20 ha around the springs and the reservoir is covered with unspoiled dense forest, where various wild animals grow like the marten, the fox, the fowl and the reptiles.
